Meine jährliche Beauty Routine

Was andere Leute zum Jahreswechsel erledigen, schaffe ich immer nur in dem Monat vor meinem Geburtstag. Ich würde sehr gerne auch solche Rituale am Ende des Jahres zelebrieren. Das habe ich bisher aber nie geschafft und seitdem ich das akzeptiere, geht es mir viel besser damit…
Jedes Jahr widme ich mich dann meinen Beautyprodukten. Ich sitze vor all meinen Beautyprodukten und Schminkutensilien und erfreue mich wie ein Kind zu Weihnachten an der Pracht.
Nun aber zum ernsten Teil des Ganzen.
Alle Make-Up und Pflegeprodukte haben leider nur eine begrenzte Lebensdauer.
Früher konnte ich es mir nicht merken, wann ich die Produkte das erste Mal benutzt hatte. Bei Produkten, die ich täglich verwende, wie Wimperntusche, geht es ja noch aber bei Produkten die ich in mehrfacher Ausführung habe, wie Rouge, wird es dann schon schwieriger.
Einige Produkte halten länger, als angeben ist. Jedoch sollte man sich schon an dem Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum orientieren, bei einigen Produkten kann es sonst unangenehm werden.
Besonders bei Naturkosmetik sind die Angaben wichtig zu beachten.
Aufgrund der rein natürlichen Inhaltsstoffe beträgt die Mindesthaltbarkeit oft nur drei bis sechs Monate. Spätestens dann, wenn ein Produkt eine andere Farbe oder Geruch angenommen hat oder seine Konsistenz geändert hat, solltet Ihr es entsorgen.
Was die meisten Produkte mögen, sind Dunkelheit, Trockenheit und Kühle. Regelmäßig gesäuberte Pinsel, mit denen Eure Produkte in Kontakt kommen, helfen auch die Haltbarkeitsdauer zu verlängern.
Was euch aber sehr helfen kann, ist Folgendes: Mittlerweile hat sich glücklicherweise fast überall durchgesetzt, dass KosmetikProdukte ein kleines Symbol tragen müssen. Dieses kleine Symbol ist eine geöffnete Dose mit der Angabe einer Mindesthaltbarkeit in Monaten. Das gilt ab dem Moment in dem Ihr das Produkt geöffnet habt.
Zusätzlich mache ich noch Folgendes, um mich daran zu erinnern, wann die Haltbarkeitablaufen könnte: Ich klebe auf die Produkte, sobald ich sie geöffnet habe, ein Label (Tape) mit der aktuellen Monats und Jahresangabe. Für den Fall, dass ihr keine Angabe zur Haltbarkeit mehr auf den Produkten findet, da sie abgerubbelt sind, schaut mal auf die unten stehenden Angaben. Ich habe einen kleinen Guide mit ungefähren Richtwerten für Euch erstellt.
Achtet aber bitte trotzdem auf die Herstellerangaben und auf den Inhalt!
Puder, Bronzer, Lidschatten und Rouge: 2 Jahre
Foundation: 12 Monate
BB Creams und Tinted Moisturizer: 18 – 24 Monate
Primer und Highlighter: 12 Monate
Creme Rouge, Bronzer und Lidschatten: 12 – 18 Monate

My beauty routine
What other people handle at the end of the year, I always manage to do only in the month before my birthday. I would love to celebrate those rituals at the end of the year but I have never been able to manage it and since I have accepted it, I feel so much better about it…
Every year, I dedicate myself to my beauty products. I sit in front of my beauty products and makeup utensils and rejoice in this splendor like a child at Christmas.
Now to the serious part of it. All makeup and toiletries only have a limited life period. In the past I often could not remember when I have used the products for the first time. For products that I use daily, such as mascara, it’s not so bad, but for the products I have available in multiple variations, such as rouge, it is much more difficult.
Some products last longer than stated. However, one should abide to the given expiry date, for some products it may otherwise could become uncomfortable. Especially with natural cosmetics it is absolutely necessary to respect the given informations. Due to the purely natural ingredients the minimum durability is often only three to six months. Latest when the product has taken on a different color or odor, or has changed its consistency, you should get rid of it.
Almost all products prefer dark, dry and cool areas. Also regularly cleaned brushes, which come in contact with your products, also help to extend life period.
But what can you help a lot is this: By now, fortunately almost all cosmetic products are enforced to use a small icon on which the minimum durability is stated. This small icon looks like an opened can printed with a small number which gives the specification of the minimum durability in months. This becomes valid from the moment you have opened the product.
Additionally I’m doing the following to remind myself of when the life durability could possibly end: I glue a label (masking tape) on the products as soon as I opened it with the exact date of the current month and year.
In case you are not able to find the indication of the durability on your products anymore because they might have been rubbed off just have a look on the below details. I’ve created a small guide with approximate guidelines for you. But please still abide to the given instruction from the manufacturer if possible.
Powder, bronzer, eye shadow and blush: 2 years
Foundation: 12 months
BB Creams and Tinted Moisturizer: 18 24 months
Primer and Highlighter: 12 months
Cream rouge, Bronzer and eye shadow: 12 18 months
