Plus Size: Holiday in Berin?

Kann man zuhause  Urlaub machen?
Ich möchte da mal Marcel Proust anführen, der sagte, dass die wirkliche Entdeckungsreise nicht das Erforschen neuer Landschaften sei, sondern die neue Sicht auf alte Dinge .

Weil ich dieses Jahr nicht dazu kommen werde, so richtig zu verreisen, werde ich mir immer mal wieder freie Tage in Berlin nehmen. Also mache ich es mir in Berlin schön. Dann trage ich etwas, was für mich Urlaub ausstrahlt. Beispielsweise ein langes enges Stretch-Kleid, damit es aber dann doch citytauglich wird, kombiniere ich es mit einem hellen Blazer, der bis über die Hüften geht.

Ich war also an so einem Berliner Urlaubstag vormittags mit meiner kleinen Cousine Lilly auf dem Rummel, wie man in Berlin sagt, woanders auch als Jahrmarkt bekannt.

Am Nachmittag suchte ich mir ein bezauberndes kleines Italienisches Restaurant an der Berliner Spree, wo ich mir hundertprozentig sicher war, dass der nette Kellner, der mich bediente,  sicher kein Deutsch sprechen wird. Herrlich war es und auf einmal war Berlin  plötzlich ganz weit weg und ich fühlte mich wie im Urlaub…

Das Kleid ist von einem Berliner Modelabel und ich finde, das passt sehr gut zu meinem Motto “Urlaub zuhause in Berlin”. Kidney Karen stellt sogenannte Tubes her, die Farbpalette ist wirklich überragend. Ich trage hier ein Maxi-Tube. Es ist eigentlich ein langes Röhrenkleid von Kopf bis Fuß und zweifarbig gefärbt.
Mein Gürtel ist auch von einem Berliner Label, “Hüftgold Berlin“. Was ich an dieser Firma mag, ist, dass die Entwürfe in Berlin kreiert werden und die Fertigung in einer kleinen italienischen Manufaktur  erfolgt.

Der Blazer stammt von der Kollektion von Edith Dohmen.
Ich schätze Edith Dohmen sehr für alle ihre Bemühungen, im “Plus size Segment” mehr  Professionalität zu erreichen  und Frauen zu ermöglichen; sich unabhängig von ihrer Konfektionsgröße Modisch zu kleiden.
Edith Dohmen hat bei Ihrem eigenen Label an die Frauen gedacht, die Kleider Größe 42 bis 48 tragen.Was ich an diesem Blazer sehr mag, dass er bis über die Hüften geht. Leider gibt es ihn nicht mehr zu kaufen. Ich habe euch aber unten Ähnliche verlinkt.

Ich schätze es in letzter Zeit sehr, wenn ich sehr enge Kleidung trage, und darüber so etwas wie einen längeren Blazer, eine Weste oder einen Mantel anziehe. Dadurch ist das Styling dann sofort wieder mehr in der Balance.Es würde mich freuen, wenn ich den Einen oder Anderen dazu inspirieren kann, auch  einen Kurzurlaub zuhause zu genießen.

Holiday in Berlin? Why not! 

Is it possible to stay at home when you’re on holiday?
I would like to cite Marcel Proust, who said that the real voyage of discovery is not the exploration of new landscapes, but viewing old things in a new light.

Because I will not really get the chance to travel this year, I will take some days off in Berlin from time to time. So I’ll make sure that I’ll enjoy myself. I will wear something that expresses holiday in the way I like to see it. For example, a long close-fitting stretch dress, which I will then combine with a brightly colored blazer that goes down to my hips. The blazer makes it an outfit fit for the city. 

So one morning during my Berlin holiday, I took my little cousin Lilly to the fair.
In the afternoon I was looking for a charming little Italian restaurant on the banks of the river Spree, where I was hundred percent sure that the cute waiter who served me, would surely not speak German. It was wonderful: and all of a sudden, it was as if Berlin was suddenly very far away and I felt like I was on vacation …

The dress is from a Berlin fashion label and I think it fits very well with my idea of a “holiday at home in Berlin”. Kidney Karen produces so-called tubes, and the range of colors is really outstanding. I am wearing a maxi-tube here. It’s actually a long tube dress from head to toe and has two colors.
My belt is also from a Berlin label, “Hüfgold Berlin“. What I like about this company is that the designs are created in Berlin and they are made by a small Italian manufacturer.

The blazer is from the collection of Edith Dohmen. I value Edith Dohmen very much for all her efforts to achieve more professionalism in the “plus size” sector and to enable women to dress fashionably – regardless of their clothing size. Edith Domen produces clothing for women who wear dress size 42 to 48. What I really like about this blazer that it goes over the hips. Unfortunately, it is now no longer available to buy. But you will find links below to similar blazers.

Lately, I have come to appreciate wearing close-fitting clothes, and then putting on something like a long blazer, a waistcoat or a jacket. It helps me achieve a more balanced style.
